The Big 6 Like a Spoonful of Sugar
I've now seen Mary Poppins twice in one night. That's right, it is one of my favorite movies. I love the music. I love Julie, Dick and Glynis! I love the choreography. I love it! AND I happened to be working on my wiki when I realized that the Big 6 is like a "spoonful of sugar". So I began thinking, yes as I was singing along, that perhaps teaching and using the Big 6 didn't have to be as difficult as some people made it out to be.
I asked myself...
How is it that the Big 6 seems so difficult to complete?
First, figure out what you're supposed to do, or what you are expected to do.
Second, figure out where to find information about your topic and if you have access to it.
Third, figure out which information will answer questions about your topic. These are questions you, the student, have on your topic, or questions the teacher may want answered in addition to your own. Find the info, read it, take notes, and make sure you document where you found your information so you can share that too!
Fourth, figure out how the information should be organized. How do you see yourself sharing the information and in what order? Make another plan for this step.
Fifth, figure out how to let people know what you learned and use the most important information from the fourth step. Then do it!
Sixth, figure out if you did the best job you could do and what you could have done differently and maybe better.
